At RPS Gaurav International School, the safety and well-being of our students is our top priority. We are committed to providing a secure learning environment where students feel comfortable, protected, and can focus on their academic and personal development. Our school campus is enclosed with a secure boundary wall,
access-controlled entry gates, and monitored by security personnel.
CCTV Surveillance: Strategic locations throughout the school are monitored by high-definition CCTV cameras, ensuring 24/7 vigilance.
TRANSPORT
At RGIS, our commitment to safety extends to every aspect of our services, including transportation. Our buses are equipped with experienced conductors to ensure a secure and comfortable journey for students. The vehicles feature state-of-the-art CCTV and GPS technology, providing real-time monitoring and tracking for added safety measures. Each bus is staffed with dedicated teachers and nannies who accompany the students throughout the ride, ensuring their care and fostering a supportive environment. We believe in the utmost care and safety of our students.
HOUSES:
To inculcate the spirit of healthy competition, the students from class one onwards are divided into four houses. The house system promotes team spirit, collaboration and a sense of belonging to a group. One of the main strengths of the house system is giving students of all ages an opportunity to work together and create a symbiotic environment. It provides excellent opportunities for student leadership
and peer group support.
The four houses are based on the names of elements of nature named as AQUA, IGNIS, TERRA and VENTUS, and hold a rich history rooted in ancient languages! Let’s delve into the etymology of each name, exploring their origins and symbolic meanings.
1 . Aqua (House of Water) – Blue House
Language of Origin: Latin
Etymology: “Aqua” directly translates to “water” in Latin.
History: The word “aqua” has been used for centuries to describe water, appearing in various Latin texts and inscriptions. Its simplicityand directness make it a powerful symbol for this house.
Symbolism: Water is often associated with adaptability, flow, and the source of life. Students in Aqua house might be known for their emotional intelligence, creativity, and ability to navigate challenges.
2. IGNIS (House of Fire) – Red House
Language of Origin: Latin
Etymology: “Ignis” directly translates to “fire” in Latin.
History: Similar to “aqua,” “ignis” has a long history in Latin, appearing in mythology, literature, and scientific works as a representation of fire.
Symbolism: Fire embodies passion, energy, and transformation. Students in Ignis house might be known for their leadership qualities, drive, and innovative thinking.
3. TERRA(House of Earth)–Green House
Language of Origin: Latin
Etymology: “Terra” directly translates to “earth” or “land” in Latin.
History: “Terra” is another ancient Latin word with roots in mythology and philosophy, representing the solid foundation of the world. Symbolism: Earth signifies stability, grounding, and growth. Students in Terra house might be known for their reliability, resilience, and dedication to building strong relationships.
4. VENTUS (House of Wind) – Yellow House
Language of Origin: Latin
Etymology: “Ventus” directly translates to “wind” in Latin.
History: “Ventus” has been used in Latin literature for centuries, often associated with the gods of wind and the power of nature.
Symbolism: Wind represents change, communication, and inspiration. Students in Ventus house might be known for their adaptability,
